Why can’t I just quickly order something on your site?

We don’t need to consume at the click of a button. I want you to be sure that you are sure because eventually, it involves money and effort. If the item is not something you really need, you need to make the effort to return the shipment and I need to re-credit the money.

Things we often don’t enjoy doing.
It’s a negative kind of effort.

I’m looking for a positive kind of effort. I want you to be sure that you are happy with the effort you are doing.
Therefore, I want to connect in a better way with you online and understand you and your wishes. Just as I want you to understand the effort, energy, and money I put into sourcing wonderful garments from our products.

If we make the effort up front, we don’t have the hassle and double the workload (and environmental burdens). In most cases, a purchase can still be a flop, but we’ll flop less this way.

So what if you already know what you really want?
No worries.

Request the invoice. Payment link will be available within 12 hours (sometimes I sleep) and in most cases, the order is shipped per express within a week after confirmed payment.

Really, that’s not a long time. We can all slow down a bit.
Make a bit of an effort. Life will become more effortless.

What if I want to order multiple items?

I know this setup isn’t flawless when it comes to ordering multiple items. The easiest way for multiple items is through the regular contact form instead of requesting an invoice per item.

What are the shipping charges?

Have a look at Shipping + Returns. Please note: Every parcel is shipped with DHL Express (Worldwide except NL) or DHL Parcel Service (NL).

Can I return online orders?

If you are not satisfied with your online purchase you have the right to return the items within 30 days after receiving the parcel.
You, as a customer, have the right of withdrawal when purchasing products from a distance. This means that you can try the purchased item on once, to see if it fits. If you are not happy with it, you are free to return it to us within 30 days.

After receiving the order you have 30 days to exchange or return any items. You do not have to report this in advance to us. Exchanging or returning items by mail is possible, just ship the items you would like to exchange or return to the address below. Ensure that all the original tags are still attached in an original way on the garment. Shipping costs for returning something to us are not reimbursed.

Please fill out the return form and add this to the package. You can find a copy of the return form in your order. If you want to exchange the item for something else, please note this clearly on the form. Any outstanding debt or credit balance will be notified by (credit) invoice. We will refund you in the same way that your payment was made when you ordered the items. There will not be any extra costs when you choose to be refunded.

Note: If damage to the item is caused by careless fitting, the damage will be deducted on reimbursement. We check every item for damages, we arrange any reimbursement.

Can you re-order an item that is sold-out?

Sometimes, but more often not. Most brands we work with only produce garments based on buying orders thus keep no stock levels. We can always check but in most cases it’s not possible to re-order.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Online we offer the following payment methods: iDeal (Dutch bankcard holders), VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, CartaSi, Cartes Bancaires, PayPal, Bancontact, KBC/CBC Payment Button, Belfius Direct Net and SEPA Bank Transfer. All payment methods are offered after you request an invoice. The payment link is provided by Mollie and is fully secure and encrypted. Your financial details are never forwarded to Store Du Nord. Any other/newer payment methods will be offered in the future and we will update this page.

How safe is my data?

We work on a secure and closed connection on our website and any personal and payment information shared at is as safe as safe can be. All information is encrypted, using the international standard SSL security protocol.  Information you share with us by filling in the Contact Form or the Request Invoice Form will be stored for a limited amount of time. Information regarding the Request Invoice Form and finalized online orders is stored in our archives. Information regarding the Request Invoice Form without finalized online orders is stored for a maximum of 14 days. Information regarding the Contact Form is stored for a maximum of 14 days.

All information you share through our payment platform Mollie is encrypted and stored by Mollie.

We do not offer the option to create an account on our website.

Is your entire collection online?

No. About 90% of the entire collection is online. Some discontinued brands or final sizes don’t make the online platform.

Additionally, we try our best to keep the stock accurate and real-time. However, every item is manually updated so sometimes it might happen that an item is still marked as available online but has been sold. It rarely happens but it does happen.

I had an account on the old webshop. What happened to it?

During the switch from the old to the new platform, old accounts which were used for online orders and/or other webshop activity have been taken offline and can be permanently deleted at your request. The data is not used in any way unless you have confirmed the newsletter registration. On the new platform, Store Du Nord does not offer the option to create an account.

How can I quickly search for items and brands on the site?

There’s a Search field in the footer below, visible on every page.

Are prices shown including VAT?

Yes. All prices shown include 21% VAT. If you’re based outside of the EU and request an invoice, you’ll receive a price excluding VAT. Any order shipped outside the EU is subject to taxes via customs and handling fees by customs.
